Could you believe I just found the time to post this... Better late then never : )
It’s 12:04pm on Tuesday October 16th, 2007 and I can truthfully say that today is the happiest day of my life. Yes, my entire life. Not only is it the day my album “REVIVAL” was release, but also it is the day after my showcase at the SUPERMARKET. I was blessed with an opportunity to perform eight of the eleven songs off of REVIVAL to a room filled with people who were as anxious to hear the record, as I was to perform it. How often do you get to play with an eleven-piece band comprised of mostly friends? WHAT A DREAM.
Big shout outs to my band Andre Bowman (Musical Director & Bassist), Rakiya Diggs (Keyboardist) Pete Alexander (Drummer), Andrew Thompson (Guitar), D.Shon Henderson (Vocal Player), Saidah Baba Talibah (Vocal Player), Abena Malika (Vocal Player) and last but not the least, R.J (Trombone), Trent (Saxophone) & Vince (Trumpet) also known as “The Weapons of BRASS destruction). I really could not have done it without you guys. Thank you for your commitment to “Revival” I look forward to touring the world with you all.
Thank you to all the TV, radio, and print media who came out to support. Special shout outs to Jordan, Morley and my entire Etalk Family. So nice to have you all experience my musical side to the fullest. Smooches.
There were a lot of people there, to many to thank but it all would not have been possible without my two “Sheroes” Sandy Pandya and Meghan Symsyk. Meghan, thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication. I finally feel like a “star”. Womanager, you no what’s up.
